Our Story

Our story begins with our manager, Nathan, getting a job as a Maths tutor, back in 2009.

Since then, he has worked in education, training to be a qualified teacher, working in BBG Academy, Heckmondwike Grammar School and Holmfirth High School. Through that time, he experienced a wide range of students, with a wide range of needs and goals and he brought that knowledge into his tutoring role. 

He set up his own tuition business in 2016, running it alongside being the Assistant Manager (and eventual Manager) of an established tuition business in Huddersfield. In 2023, he bought out the business and merged the two businesses into "One on One Tuition", taking the best aspects of each to create the best business that he could.

After 15 years in the tuition business, we now have a wide range of resources to help us provide the best service that we can and we are proud to offer a one on one service to the students of Huddersfield.
